Knit-Rite Direct

  • Need help getting a provider code

An Extension of Your O&P Provider

Knit-Rite Direct is an e-commerce Web site created to work with and assist orthotic-prosthetic patient care facilities, and for patient convenience, offering a limited selection of orthotic and diabetic sock products that are not covered by insurance. Knit-Rite is committed to working with O &P providers to offer patients products that will provide comfort and protection. Items are ordered through Knit-Rite Direct, billed to the consumer and shipped directly to the patient’s door. Because of the medical nature of Knit-Rite products, all patients must have a Provider Code from their orthotic-prosthetic facility or foot care provider.

AFO & KAFO Socks

Each patented SmartKnit® AFO and KAFO sock is made the same way that a caterpillar spins its cocoon—starting at the toe and circling to the top, resulting in a seam-free, wrinkle-free sock that fits like a second layer of skin. Big-Toe AFO Socks and AFO Liner Socks are other styles also available for leg brace wearers.

Diabetic Socks

SmartKnit & TheraSock Diabetic Socks provide a healthy foot environment for those suffering from diabetes, arthritis, foot neuropathy or sensitivities. Browse a large selection of styles including ankle, crew and over-the-calf socks.

Infant Turtleneck Interface

In addition to wearing with all types of spinal orthoses and body jackets, the turtleneck with short sleeves is used in hospitals for a casting procedure on infants and toddlers with scoliosis. It allows parents to be able to take off and put on a clean interface under the cast, with anti-odor X-Static next to the skin. Slightly heavier than a T-shirt, Torso-Interface provides more cushioning, protection, comfort, and moisture wicking properties to keep skin dry.
